A minor update for Warzone went live in the early hours of November 20, introducing movement and speed improvements that many players have been eagerly anticipating.
Following the integration of Black Ops 6 on November 14, Warzone introduced omnimovement, which promised a smoother and more refined experience. However, many players felt the new mechanics were slightly off, particularly with issues such as a delay when sprinting and plating up, as well as frequent "dead slides" where players would crouch instead of sliding.
To address these concerns, developers Raven Software and Treyarch have rolled out changes aimed at improving fluidity across both Warzone and Black Ops 6.
Movement Fixes in the Update:
Here are the key adjustments introduced:
- Reduced minimum sprint time required to perform actions like dive-to-prone or sliding.
- Fixed an issue that caused sprinting to stop when performing multiple actions in quick succession.
The developers explained these changes, stating, “These updates apply to both Black Ops 6 and Warzone and are intended to make movement more responsive, with fewer instances where players attempt to dive to prone or slide but instead end up crouching.”
Weapon Updates:
In addition to movement tweaks, Warzone players will notice a 10% reload speed increase for Assault Rifles and Light Machine Guns, enabling quicker transitions back into combat.
Outstanding Issues:
While the movement updates have been well-received, the ongoing issue of subpar audio—a top complaint since the Black Ops 6 integration—remains unaddressed in this patch. Until further fixes arrive, players will need to rely on optimizing their in-game audio settings for the best results.
