A Call of Duty player has discovered a new method to obtain older gift packs, though it might be cumbersome for those who dislike navigating the UI.
Since the release of Modern Warfare 2019, Call of Duty has significantly enhanced in-game customization, allowing players to adorn their weapons with various stickers and charms. These cosmetics can be earned through multiple avenues, including achieving in-game milestones during events, completing the Battle Pass, or purchasing bundles.
One of the simplest ways to acquire these cosmetics is through gift packs, which developers release in the shop during holidays. However, if you don't play the game during these periods, you miss the opportunity to collect these gift packs.
A Reddit user from the MW3 community revealed that by scrolling through the Gunsmith, selecting "Customize," and navigating to the "Stickers" section, players can redeem any missed gift packs.
Following this discovery, other CoD players began sharing additional tips. For instance, this trick only works for gift packs released during Modern Warfare 3’s cycle. Moreover, you don’t have to limit yourself to the Stickers tab, as accessing the “Charms” section is equally effective.
Another player offered a useful tip for PlayStation users: "You can also get any of the Pro Packs released since MW2 by going to the add-ons page."
It's worth noting that the cosmetics from these packs are only visible to PlayStation players.
The original poster’s revelation in MW3 and Warzone excited players, though some expressed concern that developers might soon patch this method. Others criticized the UI and the time required to locate the free cosmetics.
Despite the time investment, this method provides a valuable opportunity to collect older CoD cosmetics.
