The PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO), the first major LAN event of the PUBG Mobile competitive season, is scheduled to occur in Uzbekistan in 2025.

James Yang, Senior Director of the Global Esports Center at Level Infinite, revealed the tournament's location during last week’s gamescom latam. However, the exact date and venue for PMGO 2025 have not yet been announced.

The PMGO was first established in 2024 as part of a revamp of the popular mobile game’s esports ecosystem. The inaugural event, held in Sao Paulo, garnered over 510,000 peak viewers, according to Esports Charts, and was hailed as a “huge success” by the game’s creators.

In 2025, the world’s top PUBG MOBILE teams will travel to an unexpected destination: Uzbekistan. Although the Central Asian country has never hosted a major international esports event, it has an active regional PUBG Mobile scene. This includes the Uzbekistan Cup, organized in collaboration with the Uzbekistan Cybersport Association and the tournament platform BIGPLAY.GG.

PUBG MOBILE, a standout title at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, will feature a $3 million prize pool for its PUBG Mobile World Cup 2024.
