The Black Ops 6 beta offers a preview of the highly anticipated game, providing players a chance to test its multiplayer modes and maps before its official release on October 25, 2024. The beta features five different modes and eight maps, giving players a solid taste of the game's action.
The available modes include:
- Team Deathmatch: A classic mode where teams compete to reach the score limit through kills.
- Domination: Players must capture and hold zones to earn points for their team.
- Hardpoint: Teams fight to control a shifting zone to score.
- Face Off: Small-scale matches with 2v2, 1v1, or 3v3 setups on tight maps.
- Kill Order: A fresh twist on team gameplay, where teams earn points by eliminating a high-value target (HVT), gaining bonuses for securing kills on the HVT.
As for maps, the beta includes five Core maps (Scud, Babylon, Rewind, Skyline, and Derelict) and three smaller Strike maps (Gala, Pit, and Stakeout). Skyline emerged as a fan favorite due to its dynamic layout, while Scud divided opinions because of a sightline from a satellite dish that some players found unbalanced. Derelict, set in a colorful train graveyard, also garnered mixed reviews for its confusing sightlines.
The second beta weekend is expected to raise the level cap and introduce more content, allowing players to unlock additional weapons, equipment, and killstreaks
