Call of Duty League Rostermania

The Call of Duty League (CDL) season concluded in July with OpTic Texas winning the CoD Champs 2024. However, the final professional event for Modern Warfare 3 was the Esports World Cup, held in Saudi Arabia from August 15 to 18. Right after that, CDL players and organizations began announcing free agent statuses and making roster changes in preparation for the 2025 Black Ops 6 season.

Below is a list of all the roster moves announced during the 2024-2025 offseason. This article will continue to be updated leading up to the start of the 2025 CDL season.

CDL Rostermania – All Pro CoD Roster Changes After the 2024 Season

 

Los Angeles Guerrillas

  • Aug. 6: Flames announces unrestricted free agent status.
  • Aug. 19: Assault declares himself an unrestricted free agent.
  • Aug. 21: CoD leaker Hope reports the Guerrillas could be replaced by Fnatic or Gen.G.
  • Sept. 19: Gentle Mates, owned by former French CoD pro Gotaga, is reportedly interested in acquiring the Guerrillas’ CDL franchise, with HyDra and Scrap as possible signings 

Boston Breach

  • Aug. 7: Jacob Hale reports Boston Breach's parent company, Oxygen Esports, may cease operations. No confirmation as of Aug. 19.

Vancouver Surge

  • Aug. 11: The team rebrands from Seattle Surge to Vancouver Surge.
  • Aug. 25: iLLeY declares himself a free agent.
  • Aug. 28: Huke and Breszy announce they are free agents; Surge confirms their release.

Carolina Royal Ravens

  • July 6: Clayster is released from the organization.
  • Aug. 19: Beans, who joined the team on July 22, has been released.
  • Aug. 19: TJHaLy declares himself an unrestricted free agent.
  • Aug. 21: CoD leaker Hope suggests the Royal Ravens may be replaced by another organization, possibly Fnatic or Gen.G.
  • Aug. 23: FeLo reveals he is a restricted free agent.

Atlanta FaZe

  • Sept. 18: Search and Destroy coach 2Pac is released due to budget cuts and is now a free agent.

Los Angeles Thieves

  • Aug. 2: Head coach JKap and the Thieves mutually part ways.
  • Aug. 6: Afro is released from the team.
  • Sept. 18: The Thieves are reportedly pursuing HyDra, Scrap, and Envoy to join Ghosty for the 2025 season
  • Sept. 26: HyDra, Scrap, and Envoy officially join the roster alongside Ghosty.

Minnesota RØKKR

  • Aug. 19: Accuracy is released from the team.
  • Aug. 20: Estreal declares unrestricted free agent status.
  • Sept. 8: Diamondcon announces he's an unrestricted free agent.

Vegas Falcons

  • July 22: oJohnny steps down due to health reasons and is seemingly released.
  • Aug. 19: Several players announce free agency, including Nero, Gio, and Fame.
  • Aug. 21: Team Falcons replaces the Legion in the CDL, featuring an all-Saudi roster: Roxas, Exnid, KingAbody, and KHHX.
  • Aug. 28: Attach declares himself an unrestricted free agent.

Cloud9 New York

  • Aug. 10: C9 CEO Jack Etienne announces that New York Subliners will rebrand to Cloud9 New York and states that C9 is extending all CoD team contracts.
  • Aug. 29: Sib announces he is a restricted free agent.
  • Sept. 18: Coach DREAL confirms his contract has expired, making him a free agent.

Toronto Ultra

  • Aug. 19: Insight reveals he's a restricted free agent.

Miami Heretics

  • July 31: EriKBooM announces unrestricted free agent status.
  • Aug. 23: The team signs RenKoR for the 2025 season.

OpTic Texas

  • No roster changes have been confirmed
