Playwire has teamed up with Overwolf once again to bring gamers the 2020 Alienware Games with over $150,000 in prizes on the line. Starting July 17th until September 11th, players will fight to rise to the top of the leaderboard.
Unlike last year’s event, this year players will compete across multiple games simultaneously. They can earn points by playing League of Legends, Fortnite and CS:GO. Everything is tracked through the new 2020 Alienware Games app available through the Overwolf app store.
Notching a spot at the top of the leaderboards will earn you prizes ranging from in-game currency to a high-end Alienware PC. Best of all, the leaderboards reset each week. That means that each week is a new opportunity to claim victory and become one of the 250 weekly winners. And for those who don’t place on the leaderboard, fear not! Additional in-game currency will be raffled off each week at random.
Pro players and celebrities will also be involved in the event this year. ProxyFox, Broxah, Stewie2k, and 72hrs will all be joining in the fun alongside special streams from Gordon Hayward of the Boston Celtics and Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In addition to the weekly leaderboards, there will also be grand prizes given away at the conclusion of the event. The top 16 players overall will receive an Alienware Aurora R9 gaming rig and more players will be chosen by raffle to receive epic prizes. The more points you earn throughout the event, the more raffle entries you’ll earn.
