Black Ops 6 Introduces the D1.3 Sector: A Game-Changing Secondary Weapon

Black Ops 6 was in need of an exciting new secondary weapon, and the D1.3 Sector delivers exactly that.

At launch, BO6 featured four standard pistols and two familiar launchers. Season 1 shook things up with the Siri 9mm, a secondary weapon that functioned more like an SMG. However, it fell short in multiplayer and Warzone due to its slow fire rate and time-to-kill, keeping it from becoming meta. Despite this, its high damage and mobility made it a standout choice in Zombies.

For other game modes, the Grekhova remained the only viable secondary option—until now. Season 2 Reloaded introduces the D1.3 Sector, a blade-launching weapon that finally gives players a compelling reason to switch up their loadout.

How to Unlock the D1.3 Sector

The D1.3 Sector can be unlocked by earning 370,000 XP in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event, running from February 27 to March 13, 2025.

For multiplayer players, the fastest way to grind XP is by activating a Double XP token and playing Small Map Moshpit or Bullet 24/7, where constant action makes it easier to rack up eliminations.

Warzone fans will find Plunder Quads to be the best option, as it allows respawns and consistent loadout access, speeding up XP accumulation.

Is the D1.3 Sector Worth Using?

The D1.3 Sector is an unusual secondary weapon, offering only four attachment slots: Barrel, Underbarrel, Magazine, and Stock—with limited choices in each category. Despite this, the blade launcher delivers serious damage.

Without a Magazine attachment, it deals a solid 150 damage per shot at any range. Players can opt for one of two specialized blade types, each with trade-offs:

  • Explosive Blades: Detonate on impact, dealing extra damage to Scorestreaks.
  • Ricochet Blades: Bounce off surfaces, potentially hitting multiple enemies.

However, both attachments come with drawbacks. Explosive Blades lower the weapon’s damage, fire rate, and magazine size, with only a small blast radius. Ricochet Blades create chaos but drop damage output from 150 to 75, making them less effective overall.

In multiplayer, the D1.3 Sector is a powerhouse, capable of one-shot kills from any distance. However, its slow fire rate and reload speed punish missed shots, requiring precision.

In Warzone, Explosive Blades require two direct hits or three within a small blast radius to secure a kill, while Ricochet Blades need four hits regardless of distance. Given that the base weapon can down enemies in two shots from any range, using Magazine attachments is largely unnecessary.

Final Verdict

The D1.3 Sector brings a fresh dynamic to Black Ops 6, offering a powerful yet challenging alternative to traditional secondaries. While its slow fire rate and reload make it tricky to use in Warzone, its raw damage output makes it a formidable pick in multiplayer—especially for skilled players who can land their shots.
