After many years of attempts to include some form of gaming into the Olympics, on March 1st 2023, the Olympics have officially announced that there will be an Esports Olympics. They also released a list of games on their website for their competitive virtual games that will be played.

Each game will have its own format and requirements and is open to both professional and amateur players. Qualifying begins March 1st until May 15th, with the grand finals being in Singapore. The event will be streamed on their website at Olympics.com and the Olympic social channels. Players can sign up over at the official Olympics website and sign up.
