Leading up to the launch and reveal of Black ops 6 it has been announced that they will be reverting back to 'Classic prestiges' which means the format for the game will be 10 prestige which you would need to get to level 55 before going onto the next presitge. Over the last few years, Prestige has not been a thing and it has just all been based around starting at level 1 and going up to level 1000.
Another big change within Black ops 6 is that there will be no seasonal cap on the level you can get up to. For example within Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 you need to wait each season for the level cap to be raised. For example season 1 you could only reach level 250 then needed to wait for the level cap to be raised where as within Black ops 6 there will be no cap meaning you can reach max level when you would like making it a more fun experience.
Also within Black ops 6 they have guaranteed there will be a lot of classified rewards which you can obtain from getting to the highest level which have not been disclosed yet which gives you a lot more incentive to play the game more to find out what they are and unlock them.
One Final thing about the ranking and Prestige system going into Black ops 6 is that there will be no pass-over progression from old games like there has been the last few years. It will be a completely fresh start where you start from level 1 and have nothing unlocked due to it having to link to there Modern Warfare series where as over the last 2 games guns/attachments have passed over which will make it a more enjoyable and fun time to actually get to track your progression
