The Valorant Episode 9 update brings a host of new content and features to the game. Released on June 25, 2024, this update introduces several notable changes and additions.

Abyss is the latest addition to the map pool, adding a new map, bringing new strategic possibilities to the game. This map is included in the Ranked map pool and is also part of the Competitive Mode for console players​

 A new skin line called Evori Dreamwings is available in the in-game store. This bundle features cosmetics inspired by glowing creatures and adds vibrant visuals to the game​

Various agents received updates, including new voice lines for several characters and balance changes. For example, Iso's ability "Double Tap" had its duration reduced from 20 seconds to 12 seconds, and its signature kill reset was removed​

With this update, Valorant's Competitive Mode is now available on consoles. Additional features like a new controls preset selection screen, improved sound transitions, and updated crosshair presets have been added to enhance the console gaming experience

All platforms have implemented various bug fixes, including fixes for agent-specific issues and map-related exploits. However, some known issues, particularly with the Surrender and Remake menus on consoles, are still being addressed​
