Warzone Going Back To Old Looting System

A Call of Duty leaker has reported that the game Warzone will revert to its original loot system for the upcoming Black Ops 6 integration, moving away from the Warzone 2-era backpack system.

The leak, coming from the well-known source @BobNetworkUk, indicates that Warzone will reintroduce its classic loot mechanics. Additionally, Wildcards are expected to be incorporated into Loadouts in Warzone.

In June, Bob mentioned that the release of Warzone’s original map, Verdansk, has been postponed until 2025, a claim that Insider Gaming has also confirmed.

If these recent rumors hold true, it seems Activision is planning to leverage nostalgia in its future strategies. The upcoming game for 2025, codenamed Saturn, is rumored to bring back classic Black Ops 2 maps. However, it's uncertain if their return will be as extensive as the inclusion of Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps in Modern Warfare 3.

In early June, Bob also disclosed that Black Ops 6 will reintroduce Call of Duty Theatre Mode, a popular feature from earlier games in the series.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is scheduled for release on October 25, 2024, across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. It's anticipated that the game will eventually be available on Nintendo platforms sometime after its 2025 launch.
