In the latest update for Black Ops 6, developer Treyarch introduced two new maps, Bounty and Dealership, into the Ranked Play rotation for a trial period ending on February 14. Players are encouraged to provide feedback using the hashtag #BO6RankedPlay on Twitter to determine if these maps should become permanent fixtures.

Alongside the map evaluations, Treyarch added two new weapons at the start of Season 2 on January 28: the PPSh-41 submachine gun and the Cypher 091 assault rifle. However, player testing revealed significant balance issues. The Cypher 091 outperformed the existing AMES-85 assault rifle, while the PPSh-41 underperformed compared to other submachine guns like the KSV and Jackal PDW.

In response to these disparities, Raven Software issued a buff to the PPSh-41, aiming to enhance its performance in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Despite this adjustment, players have expressed frustration that these weapons were introduced into Ranked Play without thorough balancing. Some community members, including former professional player Parasite and content creator LunchTime, have called for the removal of the Cypher 091 from Ranked Play until proper balance is achieved.

This situation highlights the importance of ensuring weapons are adequately balanced before their inclusion in competitive modes. Players are advocating for a more cautious approach to weapon integration, suggesting that thorough testing and balancing should precede their introduction into Ranked Play to maintain a fair and competitive environment.
