A Call of Duty leaker has sparked excitement among players by hinting that Season 3 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone could follow a similar path to last year’s MW3 update — and might just be the “best Season 3 ever.”
The mid-season Season 2 Reloaded update for BO6 and Warzone dropped on February 21, 2025, bringing the long-awaited Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover, as well as a range of weapon buffs and nerfs, new maps, and more.
Although the new Bullet map has been praised by many as one of the “coolest” maps to date, the update hasn’t been without controversy. Players have criticized the patch for lackluster weapon balancing, steep prices for TMNT skins, and a controversial “pay-to-win” Operator that’s nearly invisible in-game. Meanwhile, CoD’s player numbers continue to decline.
Well-known CoD leaker TheGhostOfHope added fuel to the fire with a cryptic post on Twitter/X, sharing the ‘Taking Notes’ emoji alongside the 2023 Season 3 content roadmap for MW3 and Warzone.
CoD Leaker Hints at "Best Season 3 Ever" for BO6 and Warzone
The top comment on TheGhostOfHope’s post confidently claimed, “Treyarch is taking notes and will deliver the best Season 3 ever confirmed.” The leaker’s simple response? “Smart guy.”
Another player speculated, “I’ve been telling y’all. BO6 will get a comeback, it has to,” to which Hope replied, “They still haven’t abandoned the game for BO7, so yeah, I think so.”
Discussions about upcoming content continued, with one fan predicting, “BO6 Season 3 gonna have a s**t load of 6v6 maps I’m assuming.” Hope’s response was once again, “Smart guy.”
Some players named specific maps they hoped to see. “Hoping Fringe is one of them,” one user wrote. Hope replied, “It’s not Fringe, but you’ll like the remaster, I think.”
Another player suggested, “Arsenal, Frequency, two new banger maps, and maybe a small map or two, please.” However, Hope shut down the speculation, responding, “No idea why people started believing that Arsenal and Frequency were gonna come to the game.”
Despite the excitement and speculation, nothing has been officially confirmed. The developers have yet to share any concrete details about the new or returning content planned for Season 3 of BO6 and Warzone, as their current focus remains on Season 2 Reloaded and its evolving meta.
