Warzone fixes Gas Mask animation

In Season 5, Raven Software updates the dynamic gas mask overlay, eliminating obstructed vision for players not in the gas.

Warzone Season 5 reintroduces the iconic Superstore location, adds Redeploy Drone Beacons, and adjusts several weapons to alter the battle royale’s meta.

Additionally, the update modifies the gas mask overlay to fade in and out based on gas exposure. Previously, the overlay that restricted vision and cracked when damaged was always visible when the gas mask was equipped.

To avoid this, players stored the mask in their inventory and only equipped it when necessary. With the new update, players can now keep the mask equipped without worrying about the obstructive overlay. This highly-requested quality of life change has been well received by players.

While players are happy the change is finally here, some questioned why it took so long to implement such a simple fix.

“It’s crazy that they took this long to change it,” one player commented.

Warzone content creator JGOD agreed, adding, “It only took four years and three months, but it has finally happened in Warzone.”

Without further information, it’s unclear what Infinity Ward has planned for Warzone in Black Ops 6. However, players hope this quality of life change, among others, will be included in the next battle royale installment.
