With the delay of Season 2 now being pushed to Feb 15th, some details have come out to what can be expected with the season 2 release. One of the more exciting modes being added into Modern Warfare II is the return of hardcore mode. This return has excited many players who are looking for a bit more of a challenge to their gameplay and looking to take it up a notch. Hardcore mode will be a nice change to the traditional mode and will be aiming to be more realistic like reducing the time to kill, no HUD and friendly fire. 

Season 2 will also bring along side it new maps, weapons, operators and a new ranked mode. The new rank mode will use the CDL ruleset and include a EOL system for players to climb the ranks. Warzone 2 will see a new smaller map being added, the return of Resurgence and 1v1 Gulags while also making some changes to the looting and loadouts DMZ will be getting new missions, difficulty tuning and a new Exclusion Zone.

More details should be released by Activion and Infinity Ward this week leading up to the release of Season 2.
