The launch of Black Ops 6’s omni-movement system marked a major shift in gameplay, establishing a new standard for player movement in Call of Duty, Warzone included. Treyarch has acknowledged it was originally designed with multiplayer gameplay in mind and has said that modifications were needed to better align with the unique demands of Warzone’s limited-life modes.
In Season 03, the movement system in Black Ops 6 is being refined to achieve a more balanced blend of smoothness and responsiveness. The following adjustments have been implemented to improve the movement mechanics:
- Movement Speed
- Crouch Movement Speed reduced by 10%
- Crouch-to-Stand Speed increased by 15%
- Crouch-to-Stand Speed While ADS increased by 39%
- Prone Movement Speed reduced by 5%
- Sprint Movement Speed reduced by 4.9%
- Directional Sprint Animation Blend Speeds increased for improved fluidity
- Jump Cooldown
- Reduced the cooldown by 40% for improved responsiveness during repeated jumps.

- Omni-sprint Side & Back Speed Scaling
- Reduced by 8.5%, to better balance strafe movement.

Treyarch has commented on these changes noting that they are intended to bring the movement closer to the original Warzone experience while preserving the fluidity of the omni-movement added by Black Ops 6.
